Dr. Sami Leung, ND is a licensed naturopathic doctor in good standing with both the [Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND)](https://www.cand.ca/profile/?u=5207) and the [Saskatchewan Association of Naturopathic Practitioners (SANP)](https://cndsask.clubexpress.com/content.aspx?page_id=156&club_id=767696&member_id=8328054&fs=839).

Her journey into naturopathic medicine is deeply rooted in her upbringing within a multi-generational household, with family origins in Hong Kong. Surrounded by the wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine and a deep appreciate for the healing power of food and nature, Dr. Leung developed a strong foundation in integrative health. This upbringing continues to inspire her patient-centered approach that honors both Eastern and Western healing traditions.

Dr. Leung provides personalized care using evidence-based modalities including clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, supplementation, and lifestyle counseling. She is passionate about helping patients uncover the root causes of their symptoms and empowering them with the tools and knowledge to support long-term health.

Her clinical interests include:

- Pediatric health, supporting kids with neurodivergence including autism, PANS/PANDAS, ADHD, anxiety, eczema, and digestive concerns including constipation & reflux.
- Digestive health, including IBS, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and celiac disease.
- Women's health and hormonal imbalances, including pregnancy, postpartum care, endometriosis, PCOS, perimenopause, PMS, PMDD, fatigue, burnout, and stress management.
- Joint and pain conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS), and mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS).
- Cognitive health, including Alzheimer's prevention, perimenopausal brain fog, postpartum brain fog, and overall mental clarity & focus.
- Metabolic health, including cholesterol management, blood sugar regulation, and Type 2 diabetes.

Dr. Leung has additional training in pediatrics and postpartum care, and enjoys working with individuals and families through all stages of life. She recognizes the complex physical, emotional, and hormonal changes that occur during early childhood, adolescence, pregnancy, and parenthood - and aims to provide gentle, effective, and age-appropriate naturopathic care in Saskatoon.

Before becoming a naturopathic doctor, Dr. Leung earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (Honors with Great Distinction) from the University of Saskatchewan. She later completed her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine diploma at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine -Boucher Campus in New Westminster, British Columbia.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Leung enjoys walking her dog, attending spin classes, and spending time with friends and family. She also has extensive experience working with children - she teaches Chinese martial arts to kids and adults of all ages in Saskatoon. Recently, Dr. Leung was appointed Chair of the Saskatchewan Association of Naturopathic Doctors (SAND).
