Dr. Sami Leung, ND is a licensed naturopathic doctor in good standing with both the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND) and the Saskatchewan Association of Naturopathic Practitioners (SANP). Her journey into naturopathic medicine is deeply rooted in her upbringing within a multi-generational household, with family originating from Hong Kong. Her family was very familiar with Chinese medicine, and were very conscientious of the healing power of foods and nature to optimize health. Because of this harmonious upbringing, Dr. Leung has been able to craft personalized healing approaches within her naturopathic practice which honor both western and eastern medicine.

By utilizing modalities such as clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, nutraceuticals, and diet & lifestyle support, Dr. Leung aims to provide patients with the toolkit and knowledge on how to reach their individual health goals and determine the root cause of their symptoms.

Prior to becoming a naturopathic doctor, Dr. Leung obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology (Honors with Great Distinction) from the University of Saskatchewan. Dr. Leung then went on to obtain her diploma in Naturopathic Medicine rom the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (Boucher Campus) in New Westminster, British Columbia.

In addition to her 12-month clinical rotation at the Boucher Naturopathic Medical Clinic in New Westminster, she completed six months at the Vancouver Women’s Health Collective, working with women in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. Dr. Leung also completed an externship at Catalyst Kinetics Group in Burnaby doing phlebotomy and gaining experience with IV and injection therapies.

In her free time, Dr. Leung can be found walking her dog, hiking with her husband, participating in a spin class, or spending time with family and friends. She also has lot of experience working with kids - she currently teaches Chinese Martial Arts to 3- and 4-year olds in Saskatoon!
